The photographs alone did not establish that they were married: contemporaneous coverage described the pair as engaged. Williams later said they had been wearing wedding bands for a while, and later coverage reported that they married in 2023.
What rings did they wear at the 2024 Met Gala?
In its January 5, 2026 update, Brides’ account of the rings described Williams wearing an apparent round-cut diamond engagement ring on a simple gold band. Later photos also showed two additional rings: an inner band that appeared plain gold and an outer ring that appeared to have colorful stones.
Brides described Dreymon’s ring as a simple band on the fourth finger of his left hand, appearing to be white gold or platinum. These are visual descriptions, not confirmed materials or identifications of the jewelry.
Why did the rings prompt questions?
Brides’ coverage on the night of the gala, May 6, 2024, described Williams and Dreymon as an engaged pair. In that context, rings that looked like wedding bands invited speculation, but the event photographs could not independently confirm a marriage.

What did Allison Williams later say?
At the October 20, 2025 Los Angeles premiere of Regretting You, Williams discussed the couple’s rings in an Entertainment Tonight interview. AOL reported her remarks the next day. Williams said, “We never were hiding it or keeping it a secret. No, we just didn’t make a press release about it.” She also said, “If you go back on [the photo agency site] Getty, we were wearing wedding bands for a while before. People just … You gotta look closer, guys.” AOL’s report of the interview places those comments in the context of the couple’s decision not to announce their marriage publicly.
When did Williams and Dreymon marry?
Parade reported on October 24, 2025, that they married in 2023. Williams characterized the wedding as “a private little thing for us.” That later account clarifies the context of the rings seen at the 2024 gala: they were wearing wedding bands before the marriage became public, rather than revealing an engagement announcement at the event.
