The announced season-two cast of Dexter: Resurrection brings back Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan and Jack Alcott as Harrison, alongside returning actors including Uma Thurman and James Remar. New regulars Brian Cox and Dan Stevens join the story, while Gabriel Luna and Krysten Ritter are listed as guest stars. Here’s who is announced, whom they play, and how their roles are described.
Who’s in the announced season-two cast?
Paramount+’s current cast guide lists the following actors for season two. “Announced cast” does not mean every actor appears in every episode; the guide distinguishes regulars and guest stars where that status is specified.
| Actor | Character | Season-two status in the guide |
|---|---|---|
| Michael C. Hall | Dexter Morgan | Returning lead |
| Uma Thurman | Charley | Returning |
| Jack Alcott | Harrison Morgan, Dexter’s son | Returning |
| Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine | Blessing Kamara | Returning |
| Kadia Saraf | Detective Claudette Wallace | Returning |
| Dominic Fumusa | Detective Melvin Oliva | Returning |
| James Remar | Harry Morgan, Dexter’s father | Returning |
| Desmond Harrington | Lt. Joey Quinn | Returning |
| Brian Cox | The New York Ripper | New season-two series regular |
| Dan Stevens | The Five Borough Killer | New season-two series regular |
| Nona Parker | Fiona Mixon | Listed in announced cast |
| Bokeem Woodbine | Capt. Mixon | Listed in announced cast |
| Gabriel Luna | Ray Ballard / The Sleepy-Eyed Stranger | Guest star |
| Krysten Ritter | Mia LaPierre / Lady Vengeance | Returning guest star |
Paramount+ calls Cox a series-regular addition and describes Stevens as playing The Five Borough Killer. Luna joins in a guest-star role; Ritter reprises her season-one guest role. Those labels describe announced status, not an episode count or a guarantee of appearance throughout the season. Paramount+’s season-two cast guide provides the current role assignments.
Which familiar actors are returning?
Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott remain at the center
Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, with Alcott again playing Dexter’s son, Harrison. The official series description says the story begins weeks after Harrison shoots Dexter: Dexter awakens and goes to New York in search of his son. That setup keeps the father-and-son relationship central while opening the story to new characters in the city. Paramount Global Content’s series page gives the premise and lists ten episodes for season one.

Thurman and the returning ensemble
Thurman returns as Charley. The season-two guide also lists Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, Remar as Harry Morgan, and Harrington as Lt. Joey Quinn. The official title page separately lists Hall, Thurman, Alcott, Mwine, Saraf, Fumusa, Harrington, and Remar among the principal cast.
The current Paramount+ guide spells Kadia’s surname “Sarif” in one place, while the studio’s 2025 casting release uses “Saraf.” This article follows the dated studio release’s spelling. The current guide also captions a first-look photo “Nona Parker Johnson,” although its cast list says “Nona Parker”; the table uses the cast-list form. Season-one guest performers included David Dastmalchian as Gareth, Neil Patrick Harris as Lowell, Ritter as Mia, and Eric Stonestreet as Al. Dastmalchian’s guest role was announced in March 2025; Stonestreet’s was announced separately, and the later release also listed Harris and Ritter among the guest stars. The March 13, 2025 announcement and the March 10, 2025 release document those season-one guest roles.
Suárez was announced for season one but does not appear on the season-two cast list checked for this article. That omission alone does not establish whether she will or will not appear. Likewise, season-one names not included in the current season-two announcement should not be treated as confirmed season-two cast members.
