What Denise Bidot said happened on Mother’s Day
Bidot posted on Instagram Story on May 11, 2025, “Breaking up with someone on Mother’s Day is diabolical,” according to Complex. In videos that followed, she said Wayne had ended their relationship by text and arranged for her and her daughter to leave the home they shared. Bidot said she was recovering from a “mommy makeover” and could not lift boxes. The Independent also reported her account of the breakup and move-out.

TheGrio identified Bidot’s daughter as Joselyn Adams in its coverage. These accounts report what Bidot said; they do not independently establish the details of the breakup or the move-out.
What abuse allegations did Bidot make?
In another video, Bidot alleged emotional and physical abuse. Complex quoted her saying, “It’s not just the emotional abuse,” and, “This man has actually laid a fucking hand on me.” The Independent likewise reported that Bidot said Wayne had laid a hand on her and that she knew other women he had put his hands on.

These are allegations made by Bidot, not independently corroborated findings in the cited reports. The coverage does not establish that abuse occurred, nor does it report a legal finding about the claims.
What is known about their relationship?
Complex reported that Bidot and Wayne made their relationship public in June 2020 and described it as on-again, off-again. The Independent also reported that they had been together on and off since 2020. The reports provide that relationship history but do not establish the pair’s current status.

Did Lil Wayne respond?
Complex and The Independent said they contacted Wayne’s representatives for comment; Complex reported that a representative did not immediately respond. On May 13, 2025, E! News reported that it had contacted representatives for both Bidot and Wayne and had not received a response by publication, in its report. These statements describe the outlets’ requests at those publication times. They do not establish whether either party responded later.
