Infinity Castle opened in Japan on July 18, 2025, reached North American theaters in September 2025, and began streaming on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026. As of October 2026, the second film is in production, but no release date has been announced. Availability depends on where you live, so the sections below separate each release by region and channel.
Where the trilogy stands in October 2026
The trilogy is the concluding story of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, split into three theatrical films rather than a single finale season. The Demon Slayer English franchise website announced the project in 2024, shortly after the Hashira Training arc finale, describing it as “an epic trilogy of films” that would be shown exclusively in theaters worldwide. ufotable, the studio behind the anime, confirmed production of the three-part theatrical edition in a notice dated July 1, 2024.
Only the first film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, is out. Crunchyroll’s president, Rahul Purini, has said there are two films left after it. He told GamesRadar+ that the next installment is “actively in production” but that there is “no date yet.”
When the first film comes out, by region and channel
Readers asking “when does it come out?” may mean the original theatrical opening, a theatrical opening in their own country, or the streaming premiere. The dates below come from the sources named in each row, and they should not be extended to territories those sources do not mention.

Where the film sits in the anime’s story
The movie continues from the finale of the Hashira Training arc, the season that preceded it. The franchise’s own chronology places the earlier entries in the following years:

- Package Dimensions: 8.0" (L) x 8.0" (W) x 10.0" (H)

| 2025 | Infinity Castle (film one of the trilogy) |
Without giving away what happens next, the setup is this: Muzan retreats into his dimensional fortress and pulls the Demon Slayers into its shifting labyrinth. The heroes are separated and must fight Muzan’s allies while trying to reach him. Because only the first film has been released, the later films’ outcomes are not yet available to viewers, and this article does not describe them.
Netflix’s listing for the English dub names Zach Aguilar as Tanjiro Kamado, Abby Trott as Nezuko Kamado, Johnny Yong Bosch as Giyu Tomioka, and Channing Tatum as Keizo. That is a selection from the listing, not the full cast.

Where the next film stands
No date has been set for the second film, and no official window has been announced. The only firm statements come from Purini, who said the trilogy is “the final arc for Demon Slayer” and that “Infinity Castle was the first one. There’s two more to go.” Treat any release-window forecast from fan sites or social media as unconfirmed.
How to check whether you can watch it
- Open the Crunchyroll app or website and search for “Infinity Castle.” If the title appears with a playable page for your account and region, the streaming premiere has reached you.
- Open Netflix and search for the same title. Catalog listings differ by country, so a missing title may mean the film is not licensed to Netflix where you live.
- Check your local cinema’s listings if you want to see the film on a big screen. Theatrical runs end, and the streaming listings above do not tell you whether a cinema still has it scheduled.
- Recheck the franchise’s official English website and Crunchyroll’s announcements before planning around the second film. Date announcements are usually made there first.
The box office figures, read carefully
The Associated Press reported the film’s opening-weekend numbers in 2025, attributing them to Comscore and labeling them as estimates:

- $70 million North American opening weekend. AP described it as the largest domestic opening ever for an anime film at that time.
- $132.1 million global opening weekend, described in the same report as the biggest anime opening at that point.
- $177.8 million global total at the early reporting point. This is a historical estimate from the opening period, not the film’s current lifetime gross.
Reading the source manga
The films adapt Gotouge’s manga, so the printed story is a useful companion for readers who want the original text before or after watching. You do not need to read it to follow the films. Check the edition you buy to confirm which volumes it covers, since box sets and omnibus editions are organized differently.
