It is the first of three feature films adapting the series’ final arc, so the September release began the cinematic finale rather than completing it.
When did Infinity Castle come out in the U.S.?
The film opened in the United States and Canada on September 12, 2025, with screenings in standard theaters, IMAX and premium large formats. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment distributed the North American release, according to the official franchise announcement.
The date is in the past: this is not a September 2026 theatrical release. The official U.S. film site continues to display the September 12, 2025 theatrical date.
Is Infinity Castle the final Demon Slayer movie?
No. It is the first feature in a three-part cinematic trilogy adapting Koyoharu Gotouge’s Infinity Castle manga arc. The film starts the story’s climactic showdown, but it does not tell the entire ending by itself. The cited announcements do not establish release dates for the second or third films.

Is there a U.S. Blu-ray or DVD?
Aniplex’s official Japanese product listing gives July 29, 2026 as the release date for Japanese Blu-ray and DVD editions. The Japanese product page describes standard and limited editions, with some retailer-specific bonuses such as a steelbook, art prints and character goods: Aniplex’s product information.
These are Japan-market products; the sources cited here do not confirm a U.S. disc edition. Before buying an imported copy, check its region compatibility, audio and subtitle options, seller location and included bonuses. A Japanese edition’s extras or availability should not be assumed to apply to a U.S. release.

What did the film’s opening figures measure?
The reported box-office figures refer to different scopes and should not be treated as interchangeable:
| Figure | What it measures | Attribution |
|---|---|---|
| $13 million | North American IMAX opening; IMAX said it represented 19% of the film’s domestic box office. | IMAX Corporation, September 15, 2025 release: IMAX |
| $20 million | Worldwide IMAX weekend figure. | IMAX Corporation, September 15, 2025 release: IMAX |
| $70 million | North American theatrical debut estimate based on Sunday estimates from Comscore; this is not an IMAX-only total. | The Associated Press, 2025: AP |
In its September 15, 2025 release, IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond said anime’s global following helped drive what he described as IMAX’s biggest year ever for local-language box office at that point in 2025. That is Gelfond’s corporate interpretation, not an independent audience study.
