Deep Fear is Marcus Adams’s 2023 action thriller about yachtswoman Naomi, whose attempt to help shipwreck survivors turns into a dangerous demand to retrieve a cocaine stash from shark-infested waters. Mădălina Diana Ghenea stars as Naomi, alongside Ed Westwick and Macarena Gómez.
What is Deep Fear about?
Naomi is on a solo yacht trip when she encounters three people clinging to a damaged boat. They present themselves as survivors, but are traffickers who force her to dive to a wreck and recover cocaine. Sharks make the underwater task perilous as the human threat escalates. The BBFC describes the film as a tense British thriller in which a sailor aids shipwreck survivors “who aren’t what they seem.”
