Celebrity Net Worth estimates Debbie Rowe’s net worth at $20 million, but that figure is not independently verified. The clearest historical financial detail in the available reporting is a Los Angeles Times account that court records showed an $8.5 million divorce settlement finalized in 2000. A separate Biography.com account describes the settlement differently, so neither figure establishes Rowe’s current net worth.

What the reported figures do—and don’t—show

Figure What it refers to Source and qualification
$20 million Estimated net worth Celebrity Net Worth displays this estimate; its page says its calculations rely on public sources and are estimates unless otherwise indicated. The page’s publication date is not shown; accessed October 8, 2026.
$8.5 million Divorce settlement The Los Angeles Times reported in 2009 that court records showed this settlement when Rowe and Michael Jackson’s divorce was finalized in April 2000.
More than $6 million plus ownership of the Beverly Hills mansion Alternative description of the divorce settlement Biography.com, updated May 25, 2021, describes the settlement this way. Its account differs from the Times report; the reviewed sources do not reconcile them.
More than $250,000 Payment in June 2005 The Los Angeles Times reported that court records showed Jackson paid Rowe this amount. The article separately reported Rowe’s testimony that by year-end she had spent it on an American Express bill and legal fees.

These amounts are not comparable measures of total wealth. A settlement or a payment at a particular point in time does not reveal all assets, liabilities, subsequent income, spending, or private financial arrangements. In particular, the historical settlement figures should not be added together or treated as components of the $20 million estimate.

Why Rowe’s current net worth is not established

A net-worth figure requires a picture of assets and debts at a given time. The reviewed public accounts do not establish Rowe’s present assets, liabilities, or income, and the Celebrity Net Worth figure is not an audited balance sheet or a financial disclosure from Rowe. It is best understood as a published estimate, not a confirmed total.

The Los Angeles Times’ 2009 report concerns a custody dispute and historical court proceedings, rather than a full accounting of Rowe’s finances. Its account of the 2005 payment and her testimony about spending it describes a specific episode, not her overall financial position then or now.

Does Michael Jackson’s will show that Rowe inherited money?

No. The will identifies Deborah Jean Rowe Jackson as Jackson’s former wife. That identification alone does not establish that she received an inheritance or any other payment from his estate. The will is hosted by The Conversation under the title “Estate of Michael Joseph Jackson, Deceased”; the cited document does not, by itself, prove a transfer to Rowe.
