What are the Deadpool and Wolverine SteelBooks?
They are two separate limited-edition SteelBook releases with exclusive character-focused artwork and packaging. The Deadpool edition spotlights Deadpool; its companion uses Wolverine-focused art. The release listing identifies each North American package as 4K UHD + Blu-ray + digital code. It also lists other formats, including a 4K UHD + Blu-ray “Cinematic Universe Edition,” a standard Blu-ray combo, and DVD. Screen-Connections’ release details do not specify a glossy coating, so the finish should not be assumed from the headline or the SteelBook format.

The cited release details distinguish the editions by artwork and SKU, not by different movie or bonus-disc contents. They do not establish that the digital code has the same redemption terms in every country, or that it is valid indefinitely.

The North American physical release date reported by Screen-Connections was October 22, 2024. Regional editions are not necessarily the same package:

- France: Fnac listed a limited 4K UHD SteelBook dated November 27, 2024. The page showed €45.90 and online stock exhausted when accessed, with store stock indicated; that is a time-specific listing observation, not a statement about current availability. See Fnac’s French listing.
- Japan: Marvel lists a 4K UHD + Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray set dated December 11, 2024, at ¥9,790 tax included on its product page. This is a different configuration from the North American SteelBooks. See Marvel Japan’s product lineup.
What the Japanese 4K edition specifies
Marvel Japan describes its set as running approximately 128 minutes. The 4K disc is listed at 3840×2160 resolution with English Dolby Atmos and Japanese Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 audio. The page does not make those specifications universal to the North American SteelBooks, so check the details for the exact regional SKU you intend to buy. The Japanese set includes a Blu-ray 3D disc as well as a standard Blu-ray; that does not mean the character SteelBooks include those discs.
