Deadloch season two is available on Prime Video. The Australian crime-comedy moves from Tasmania to the Northern Territory, where detectives Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe investigate a new case after travelling to Darwin over the death of Eddie’s former policing partner.
What is Deadloch season two about?
Detectives Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) arrive in Darwin to investigate the death of Eddie’s former policing partner, Bushy. A body part discovered in the fictional remote town of Barra Creek draws them into another mystery. The season shifts the story from Tasmania, the setting of season one, to Australia’s Northern Territory.
When did Deadloch season two come out?
The six-part season premiered globally on Prime Video on March 20, 2026. Two episodes were released at launch, followed by weekly episodes through the finale on April 17, according to Amazon’s season guide. The season has concluded its initial release; check your regional Prime Video listing for current availability.
Where can I watch Deadloch season two?
Prime Video is the identified streaming platform. Amazon said the season launched in more than 240 countries and territories, though local catalog access can vary. Prime Video can be watched through a web browser or app on supported smartphones, tablets, set-top boxes, game consoles and select smart TVs; a new device is not required if you already have a compatible way to access the service. Where was Deadloch season two filmed?
Screen Territory identifies Darwin and Batchelor as filming locations. These are production locations, not a claim that every scene was filmed in the Northern Territory; the story also takes place in fictional Barra Creek. Screen Territory describes the season’s landscape as a shift from Tasmania’s “icy noir” to a tropical-gothic setting, with red dirt horizons, lush canopies and croc-filled waterways. Kate Box and Madeleine Sami return as Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe. Nina Oyama and Alicia Gardiner also return. Why is the Northern Territory setting significant?
The move brings the returning detectives into a new landscape and community, while keeping the story’s crime-comedy format. The Northern Territory Government announced the production on July 9, 2024, describing a six-part season and saying filming would commence later that year in the Top End. It said the production received $718,000 through Screen Territory’s Production Attraction Incentive Program. Those are details of the government’s production announcement, not a statement about the season’s total budget. The Northern Territory Government announcement also reported that season one reached Prime Video’s Top 10 TV Shows in more than 165 countries and territories.

Amazon’s 2026 season guide reports that the series has won five AACTA Awards, including Best Acting in a Comedy for Kate Box and Best Screenplay in Television for Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan.
