Dead & Company’s three San Francisco shows took place August 1–3, 2025, at Golden Gate Park’s Polo Field. The concerts celebrated 60 years of the Grateful Dead’s music; they were not an anniversary of Dead & Company, and they are now over.
When and where were the shows?
San Francisco announced three ticketed concerts for Friday through Sunday, August 1–3, 2025, at the Polo Field in Golden Gate Park. The city’s announcement described the event as a celebration of 60 years of the Grateful Dead’s music, not 60 years of Dead & Company. San Francisco’s announcement, reported by Axios, and the official Dead & Company event page used that anniversary framing.
Who opened for Dead & Company?
The opening acts varied by night, according to the event lineup:
- Friday, August 1: Billy Strings
- Saturday, August 2: Sturgill Simpson, performing as Johnny Blue Skies
- Sunday, August 3: Trey Anastasio Band
Were tickets or livestreams still available?
No: the concerts have passed. San Francisco Recreation and Parks described the shows as sold out in an August 1, 2025 post, and the band’s event page now thanks fans for joining the group in Golden Gate Park. The figures cited by San Francisco refer to different events and time periods, so they should not be conflated:
