Eunice “Dawn” Elsie Little Sky, the actress and Walt Disney Studios artist, died on October 24, 2025, at age 95. TheWrap reported that she died at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota. Her career spanned television and film, Disney animation work, and later teaching art and culture in South Dakota.
Who was Dawn Little Sky?
Little Sky was born in Fort Yates, North Dakota, on April 17, 1930, and grew up on the Standing Rock Reservation, according to TheWrap and Parade. She attended Haskell Indian Nations University. Her husband, actor Eddie Little Sky, shared several screen credits with her.
What did Dawn Little Sky do at Disney?

What did she do after returning to South Dakota?
After she and Eddie moved back to South Dakota in the late 1970s, Little Sky taught art at Little Wound School. Parade reports that she taught art and culture, sponsored a dance club, and designed powwow regalia for her children. In 2005, she received South Dakota’s Indian Living Treasure Award, according to Parade.
Her family remembered her love of watching her grandchildren dance at powwows and listening to drum groups. TheWrap reproduced that recollection from her obituary. Parade quoted the family describing her as someone who “left a positive impact on all who had the honor to interact with her,” and as a gifted storyteller with a strong sense of humor.
