David Gandy’s most personally meaningful watch, by his account, is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic engraved with his daughter’s initials and birth date. In a 2020 interview, he also described an eclectic collection spanning vintage Omega and Breitling pieces, a Bvlgari Octo Finissimo, and watches from Chopard, Montblanc and others. He called an Omega De Ville his everyday favorite.
Why the Reverso is his favorite
In Time+Tide’s 2020 profile, Gandy said he bought a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic when his daughter was born. He had her initials and date of birth engraved on the back and described it as his favorite watch. The engraving makes his example personal; it is not a feature included with every retail Reverso.
The Reverso is also a clear expression of the qualities Gandy said he values in watches: style, design, heritage and history. He said he likes owning timepieces that could be passed on to a younger generation.
The Omega he wore every day
Gandy identified an Omega De Ville as his everyday favorite and said people often asked him about it. A later 10 Magazine interview also names Omega De Ville designs among the watches he wears, though its publication date is not established here. The interviews do not identify an exact De Ville reference or provide its specifications.

Other watches in the collection he described
Gandy’s 2020 account named a range of pieces. It describes what he said he owned then, not a verified inventory today.

Gandy described his interest as “a love of overall style and design” and said he was drawn to “something with heritage and history.” That emphasis is consistent with his account of the engraved Reverso and with a later British GQ interview, published 13 March 2024, in which he said he owns two Jaeger-LeCoultre watches and a 1960s Omega Moonwatch. GQ characterized his collection as more historic and sentimental than focused on expensive objects. Neither interview establishes his full current collection.
He also said he coordinates watches and straps with his outfit. The interview does not name a strap brand or size, so it does not identify a particular strap as a match for his watches.
