DC published the first official full-costume look at David Corenswet as Superman on May 6, 2024. It followed a February glimpse of the suit’s emblem and came before a later teaser that DC described as the first official look at Clark Kent.
When was David Corenswet’s Superman suit revealed?
DC shared the first official full-costume image on May 6, 2024, describing it as a glimpse of Superman suiting up. The reveal was part of the promotion for James Gunn’s film, in which Corenswet plays both Superman and Clark Kent.
The official announcement establishes the image’s timing and general subject, but not further visual details. DC’s page is not directly accessible, so claims about specific colors, textures, pose, or costume features should not be inferred from its indexed description. What the first look does—and does not—show
The May image is best understood as a milestone in the film’s promotional rollout: it officially showed Corenswet in the Superman costume after the earlier partial emblem glimpse. It was not the first time DC showed anything from the suit, and it was not the later first official look at Clark Kent.
