Jackson denied the allegations. The reporting cited here establishes that Joy made the claims and Jackson rejected them; it does not establish that a court determined whether they were true.
What did Daphne Joy accuse 50 Cent of?
In an Instagram post on March 28, 2024, Joy wrote: “Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me.” She also wrote: “You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on.” The Los Angeles Times reproduced those words in its report the following day. They are Joy’s allegations, not a judicial finding.

What did 50 Cent say in response?
Jackson denied Joy’s accusations in a statement reported by the Times. He called them “false and baseless” and said they were made in response to his decision to seek sole custody of their son, Sire. Jackson said his son was his main priority and that his focus was keeping him in a safe environment. His explanation of why Joy posted the allegations is his account, not an independently verified finding.
What led to Joy’s post?
The dispute followed Jackson’s online mockery of Joy after she was named in a separate lawsuit concerning Sean “Diddy” Combs. That case was brought by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. The Times reported that Joy denied the separate lawsuit’s claim that she was a sex worker. Those allegations are distinct from Joy’s claims about Jackson: her appearance in another person’s lawsuit does not prove either set of claims.

Did 50 Cent sue Daphne Joy?
Yes. In May 2024, Jackson filed a defamation lawsuit against Joy in Harris County, Texas, according to the Times. His complaint argued that her Instagram statements were defamatory and sought more than $1 million in damages, removal of the post, and an order barring further allegedly defamatory comments. Those were requests and claims made in the complaint, not a court’s decision that Joy’s allegations were false.

In September 2024, Jackson sought to dismiss the case without prejudice, the Times reported. The reason was not disclosed. A dismissal without prejudice would leave him able to refile; the reporting cited here does not establish whether the case was later refiled or what subsequent docket activity occurred.
