Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo joined Parkway Drive on stage at the band’s headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 12, 2016. He danced out with a microphone and tried some vocals, but the contemporaneous report does not identify a song or establish that he performed a complete one.
What happened at Parkway Drive’s London show?
PerthNow reported on February 13, 2016, that Ricciardo appeared with the Australian metalcore band the previous Friday night, February 12, during its headline show at O2 Academy Brixton. Which song did Ricciardo sing?
The song is not identified in the available report. PerthNow quotes Ricciardo describing himself as “trying to smash out some vocals” with Parkway Drive. That supports saying he attempted vocals, not that he sang a particular song or completed a formal guest performance.
How Ricciardo described the moment
In quotations reproduced by PerthNow, Ricciardo called himself “Still on cloud 9” after the show and thanked Parkway Drive for making his dream of being in a band for a night come true. He also described the experience as something he would never forget. Those comments present the appearance as a memorable personal thrill; the report does not offer a set list or a fuller account of what he sang.

Ricciardo’s interest in music
The stage appearance fits with Ricciardo’s documented enthusiasm for music, though later interviews do not add details about the 2016 performance. In a 2020 Formula 1 profile, he named Canadian band Alexisonfire as a favorite while growing up and said punk got him into music (Formula 1, November 29, 2020). A 2018 profile lists live music among his favorite activities (Formula 1, January 8, 2018). In a 2024 quickfire interview, he joked about a hypothetical Formula 1 band called “The Rejects”; that later exchange is separate from the Brixton show (Formula 1, May 12, 2024).
