Turbo Granny is a youkai who resides in Shono City Tunnel and is feared for combining with a bound spirit, according to the official English-language DanDaDan anime character profile. The same page identifies Mayumi Tanaka as her voice actor; Okarun’s profile says he is forced to play tag with Turbo Granny to break her curse.
Who is Turbo Granny in DanDaDan?
The official anime character page describes Turbo Granny as “A youkai that used to appear at unexpected times and places, and run rampant all over the country. Currently, she resides in Shono City Tunnel and is feared because she combines with a bound spirit.” The wording comes from the official English-language character introduction.
That brief profile establishes her as a supernatural being associated with the tunnel and a bound spirit. It does not identify the spirit, explain how the combination occurred, or detail all of its effects. The phrase “run rampant all over the country” is part of the profile’s description; it does not provide a specific chronology.
What is Turbo Granny’s connection to Okarun?
Okarun’s official introduction says he is an occult-loving high school boy who believes in aliens but not ghosts. It also says he “ends up forced to play tag with Turbo Granny in order to break her curse.” These are introductory character facts, not a complete plot summary. Read together, the profiles set up a contrast: a boy skeptical of ghosts is drawn into a supernatural confrontation with a youkai. That contrast is an interpretation of the introductions, not an explanation explicitly supplied by the page.
