The episode nodded to the musical influence of Soul Train and welcomed actor Rosie Perez as a guest judge; her early career included an appearance on the television show. Two performances gave the night its sexual edge.

Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko danced to “Sexual Healing”
Nader and Savchenko performed a rumba to Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing.” The recap described the routine as sensual. Afterward, judge Derek Hough quipped, “That dance made me pregnant.” Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli replied that he was not the father. The pair scored 28 out of 40.
Jenn Tran and Sasha Farber earned Bruno’s “sexiest” description
Tran and Farber performed a Viennese waltz. Tonioli called it “possibly the sexiest he’d ever seen.” They received 31 out of 40.

Eric Roberts ended his foxtrot with a kiss
Roberts dedicated his foxtrot to his wife, Eliza Roberts, and finished with a dip and kiss. His professional partner, Britt Stewart, said the marriage advice he gave her was “NSFD (Not Safe for Disney).” The pair scored 24 out of 40.
Who led the Soul Train Night leaderboard?
Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong topped the episode’s reported scores with 36 out of 40. The recap noted that Kinney had led the leaderboard for a third consecutive week. Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson followed with 34 out of 40; their jive included a back flip, and Graziadei received the season’s first 9s.
