¿Qué reclama Daddy Yankee?
La demanda fue presentada el 29 de noviembre de 2025 en el Tribunal de Distrito de Estados Unidos para Puerto Rico por Los Cangris, Inc. y Ramón L. Ayala Rodríguez, conocido como Daddy Yankee. El escrito se centra en la autoría editorial, las participaciones de publicación y los ingresos por regalías de composiciones; no se limita a reclamar derechos sobre grabaciones máster. Según la demanda, desde aproximadamente 2015 se alteraron o circularon documentos de reparto de composiciones —conocidos como split sheets— y se atribuyeron participaciones editoriales que los demandantes dicen no haber autorizado. También alegan que ciertos registros de derechos de autor permitieron reclamar ingresos que debían corresponder a los autores. ¿Quiénes son los demandados?
Además de Rafael A. Pina-Nieves, conocido como Raphy Pina, el escrito nombra a Andrés A. Coll-Fernández, Mireddys González-Castellanos y Edwin Prado-Galarza, así como a entidades vinculadas con la música y la publicación. La demanda federal de noviembre de 2025 incluye a Pina y trata principalmente de presuntas participaciones editoriales y regalías de composiciones.
