In May 2024, the Miami Herald reported that Cuba Gooding Jr. said he was dating Claudine De Niro. That is the clearest sourced account of their relationship—but it does not establish whether they are still together in October 2026.
What Cuba Gooding Jr. reportedly said about dating Claudine De Niro
A May 9, 2024, Miami Herald report about Gooding’s interview concerning his connection to Sean Combs said Gooding described himself as dating De Niro. The report paraphrased his description; it did not provide a directly verified quotation from him about the relationship.

What earlier reports said
In 2019, Fox Business recounted reports of Gooding and De Niro appearing together and cited Page Six’s account of an unnamed source who characterized them as “hooking up,” while saying they were not necessarily dating. That is anonymous-source reporting, not a public confirmation by either person.
The distinction matters: the 2019 account relayed a source’s characterization, while the 2024 report attributed the dating description to Gooding. The later report is the stronger evidence of how he described the relationship at that time.
