There is no confirmed Snyderverse revival, and the latest Warner Bros. Discovery ownership update does not announce one. Skydance Corporation said it completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery on October 6, 2026—not Netflix. Separately, Zack Snyder has said that continuing his Justice League plans in another format has been discussed and is possible. Those facts give fans a reason to wonder, but they do not establish that a project is approved or in development.
Who bought Warner Bros. Discovery?
Skydance Corporation announced on October 6, 2026, that it had completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery after required regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Its announcement describes DC as part of the combined company’s portfolio and names the combined company “Skydance.” The transaction update corrects the claim that Netflix bought Warner Bros. Discovery; it is an ownership announcement, not a DC project announcement. Read Skydance’s official transaction announcement.
What has Zack Snyder said about continuing the Snyderverse?
In a February 27, 2026 report, GamesRadar said Snyder was asked whether his plans for Justice League 2 and 3 could continue as an animated movie or a comic. Snyder replied, “We’ve absolutely talked about it quite a bit, and sure,” and added, “Yeah, I mean, we live in a world where all that’s possible.” Read GamesRadar’s interview report.
That supports a limited conclusion: Snyder says continuation has been discussed and could take another form. He did not announce an authorized project, a release schedule, or a return to DC in the comments reported by GamesRadar.

Does the sale make a Snyderverse return more likely?
The change in ownership may prompt fans to speculate about future DC decisions, but the cited announcement does not state that Skydance intends to revive Snyder’s continuity. The interview report and transaction announcement provide no probability, poll, or other statistic measuring the likelihood of a return. Calling the sale an “exciting boost” is therefore speculation, not a measurable change in the odds.

No. Animation and comics are formats raised in the interview question and addressed in Snyder’s response; neither is identified in the report as an approved or active production. The distinction matters: a format being discussed is not the same as a studio greenlight.
