The couple married on November 26, 2022, at Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, according to People’s wedding coverage, republished by Yahoo News. The date followed an engagement announced after Morikawa proposed in the Bahamas on November 30, 2021.
How their relationship led to the wedding
Morikawa told the PGA TOUR that he planned the proposal around a boat ride near Nassau to a beach he had researched. “I had never been so nervous as I was before proposing,” he said in an interview published December 2, 2021. PGA TOUR’s account of the proposal describes the engagement.
In June 2022, when asked about wedding planning, Morikawa said, “We like to keep things private.” He did not disclose the wedding date at the time, as Golf Digest reported.

Guests and ceremony
People’s December 2022 report described a gathering of about 100 close friends and family, with the couple’s dog, Koa, also in attendance. The couple exchanged traditional vows during the ceremony, then read personal vows to each other privately.
Attire
According to the People report, Zhu wore a Vera Wang dress for the ceremony and changed into a Galia Lahav dress for the reception. Morikawa wore a suit by Stitch+Heart. The report does not identify the dress styles or models.

Orchestra and flowers
A 10-piece wind and string orchestra performed at the wedding, according to Golf Channel’s 2022 wedding roundup. Wedding planner Mindy Weiss described the orchestra’s sound as “most beautiful music” in the People coverage. Flowers were also part of the reported setting, alongside the live music and designer attire.
