Blondie recorded its first album in 1976 and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, the AP reported. The AP also cited Blondie’s website for a historical figure of more than 42 million records sold in connection with the 2006 induction; that figure is not a current sales total.
