Clara Dao’s public message has centered on body confidence for small-chested and skinny women: accepting yourself as you are need not depend on fitting a rigid beauty ideal. But the supplied “Exclusive” headline does not match a verified interview, so there is no on-record answer from Dao to that specific question. What the available reporting does show is how her message has been described—and how, in a separate 2020 interview, another creator named Clara explained her own path into body-confidence work.

What Clara Dao has publicly been known for

THE WELL describes Dao as a digital creator whose work promotes body positivity for small-chested and “skinny” girls. In that profile, she is presented as someone who responded to being trolled for lacking curves by making videos that encouraged women to celebrate themselves as they are. THE WELL’s profile

The South China Morning Post likewise reported that Dao’s videos encouraged flat-chested women to embrace their bodies and reject narrow beauty standards. The newspaper recounted her story of being bullied as a child for having a flat chest and later recognizing that she deserved love regardless of body type; that is the newspaper’s account of her story. What a separate interview says about the purpose of body-confidence content

A July 30, 2020, Teen Magazine interview is with Clara Guillem, also known as Clara and Herself—not an interview identified as Clara Dao. In that conversation, Guillem said that responses to a TikTok video about eating disorders influenced her decision to make body-confidence content for girls who felt unsupported. She explained:

“I became a body confidence (I refrain from using the term body positive now since I have a smaller body) influencer because one day, I made a TikTok video about eating disorders, and got flooded with hundreds of comments from teenage girls who were struggling and had no support and no help.”

That quotation belongs to Guillem and reflects her account in 2020; it should not be attributed to Dao or treated as a statement of Dao’s current views. Teen Magazine interview and quotation

Self-love does not have to mean refusing change

Dao’s reported message—accept your body and resist rigid standards—raises a useful question: can someone value themselves as they are while also choosing to change their appearance, interests, or habits? The available reporting establishes the earlier body-confidence message, but not Dao’s answer to that question or to the supplied headline’s specific framing. A personal change, if one occurs, would not by itself prove that someone’s earlier self-acceptance was false.
