When did Clancy’s Fish Pub reopen?
PerthNow reported on 3 December 2024 that Clancy’s would reopen at 4pm that Friday—6 December 2024—after closing in May. The article said the venue had operated for nearly 25 years before the closure and described the return as a refreshed pub with a simplified offering. Clancy’s Group managing director Joe Fisher said, “Community is at the heart of everything we do,” and described the plan as revitalising a place for “good times, cold pints and casual meals.” Those comments were made in the context of the 2024 reopening announcement.
What was planned for the reopening?
The December 2024 report described a sun-drenched outdoor terrace, a refurbished interior and family-friendly casual dining. It said former Il Lido head chef Ramendeep Singh would lead the menu, which was expected to feature fish tacos, chilli mussels, share plates and European-inspired pinsas—hand-pressed pizzas. Local drinks named in the report included beers from Otherside Brewing, Rocky Ridge and Last Drop, alongside local wines. Planned entertainment included vinyl DJ sets from Brother B and Mama Cass.

The operator’s later menu document is a separate snapshot: it lists dishes including beer-battered fish and chips, grilled barramundi, chilli mussels and spaghetti vongole. Where is the pub, and what are its current listed hours?
Clancy’s operator page lists the Canning Bridge pub at 903 Canning Highway, Applecross, and says it is open seven days from 11am. The page describes seafood and pub food, rotating local guest taps, bookings and walk-ins. It also lists live acoustic musicians on Fridays, vinyl DJs on Saturdays and recurring events. Hours, menus and event listings can change, so check Clancy’s Canning Bridge page before making plans.
Getting to Clancy’s at Canning Bridge
The operator says Canning Highway bus stops are outside the venue and Canning Bridge station is a five-minute walk away. Its page also lists nearby public parking options. Check the live venue page for the current transport and parking information.

The short version is that the pub closed in May 2024, then its operator announced a refreshed reopening for December that year. Clancy’s current venue page describes the Applecross local as part of the area “since 2000”; that is the operator’s own description of its history.
