Christine Baumgartner was reported to be dating financier Josh Connor in January 2024. That headline is now out of date: a later PEOPLE report says Baumgartner and Connor married on October 18, 2025, at Santa Ynez Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
What was reported about Baumgartner and Connor?
On January 16, 2024, Us Weekly reported, citing multiple reports, that Baumgartner was dating Connor. The article said the Daily Mail had first reported the relationship and photographed Baumgartner dropping Connor off at his California home.
Us Weekly also recounted that the pair had been seen together in Hawaii in July 2023. The following month, Baumgartner testified in court that she and Connor were friends. Those details explain the earlier “just friends” framing, but they do not establish when a romantic relationship began or amount to a direct public confirmation from either person.
How the relationship timeline developed
- May 2023: Us Weekly reported that Baumgartner filed for divorce from Kevin Costner and that the couple had separated the previous month.
- July 2023: Baumgartner and Connor were spotted together on a Hawaii trip, according to Us Weekly.
- August 2023: Us Weekly said Baumgartner testified that she and Connor were friends. The publication also reported that Connor had loaned her $20,000; according to its account of the testimony, she returned $10,000 and gave the other $10,000 to her mother.
- January 16, 2024: Us Weekly published its report that Baumgartner was dating Connor, attributing the news to multiple reports.
- October 18, 2025: PEOPLE reported that Baumgartner and Connor married at Santa Ynez Ranch in Santa Barbara, California. Its report estimated that just over 100 guests attended.
What the later wedding report changes
A PEOPLE wedding report republished by Yahoo says Baumgartner and Connor married on October 18, 2025. The report was published on October 19, 2025. It places the wedding at Santa Ynez Ranch in Santa Barbara and estimates attendance at just over 100 guests. The available accounts establish the reported wedding date and setting; they do not resolve exactly when the relationship became romantic.

Why published accounts differ on the divorce date
The reports give different dates for when Baumgartner and Costner’s divorce was finalized. Us Weekly’s January 2024 article says September 2023, while the later PEOPLE wedding article says February 2024. Without a checked primary court record, neither date should be treated here as an independently verified finalization date.
