There is no verified public figure for Chris Martin’s current net worth. Published estimates put his wealth at £132 million in a 2022 Sunday Times Giving List document and £160 million in a figure attributed to The Times in May 2023. Both are dated estimates, not an audited account of his present assets and debts.

What is Chris Martin’s net worth?

The most supportable answer is a range of historical estimates, not one precise current total. A CAF-hosted copy of The Sunday Times Giving List 2022 lists Martin, identified with Coldplay, at £132 million (CAF-hosted 2022 Giving List). A secondary reference page attributes a £160 million estimate to The Times in May 2023 (secondary reference). The original Times report was not directly verified, so the latter should be treated as an estimate attributed to that newspaper rather than a confirmed Times figure.

Neither number establishes what Martin is worth now. Rich-list figures are estimates, and the cited material does not provide an audited breakdown of his assets, debts, ownership stakes, taxes, or other financial obligations.

Why Coldplay’s earnings do not equal Martin’s personal wealth

Recent figures about Coldplay describe the band’s reported earnings or tour receipts, not Martin’s individual net worth. Forbes Colombia estimated Coldplay’s 2025 earnings at $105 million and described roughly 50 Music of the Spheres tour shows as generating about $375 million in gross revenue (Forbes Colombia, 2025).

Pollstar reported a 2025 tour gross of $390,489,072 and 2,918,405 tickets (Pollstar, 2025). These are separate trade-publication estimates; they should not be combined into a single figure. Gross ticket revenue is money taken in before relevant costs and is not the same as profit, an individual band member’s pay, or personal wealth. Without evidence about expenses, contractual shares, taxes, investments, and liabilities, none of these group or tour figures can be assigned to Martin personally.

How to read the estimates

Figure What it represents Source and qualification
£132 million Estimated personal wealth listing for Martin The Sunday Times Giving List 2022, in a CAF-hosted copy
£160 million Personal wealth estimate attributed to The Times May 2023; attribution appears in a secondary reference page, and the original report was not directly verified
$105 million Estimated Coldplay earnings Forbes Colombia, 2025; band figure, not Martin’s personal income
About $375 million Approximate gross revenue from roughly 50 Music of the Spheres tour shows Forbes Colombia, 2025; band/tour gross, not profit or personal wealth
$390,489,072 Reported 2025 tour gross Pollstar, 2025; separate trade-publication estimate
2,918,405 Reported tour tickets Pollstar, 2025

For a fair comparison, keep the publication year, currency, subject, and type of number attached to every figure. A wealth estimate, a band’s annual earnings, and a tour’s gross receipts answer different questions.
