Stephanie Himonidis, known as Chiquibaby, and her husband, Gerardo López, welcomed their daughter, Capri Blu, on August 23, 2021. Telemundo reported that she was born at 4:26 p.m. local time at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, and that mother and baby were healthy.
When was Chiquibaby’s baby born?
Capri Blu was born on August 23, 2021. Telemundo’s birth announcement gave the time as 4:26 p.m. local time and the location as Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami. People en Español reported the birth the following day and also said mother and daughter were doing well.
The reports do not establish a reliable exact birth weight. Telemundo’s Spanish-language article contains an internally inconsistent figure, while People en Español described Capri as a little over seven pounds.
How did Chiquibaby describe meeting her daughter?
In comments to the hoy Día production after the birth, Chiquibaby said the experience changed her life and that she cried when she held Capri. Telemundo also reported that she had a brief moment of skin-to-skin contact with her daughter. Her words, as quoted in Spanish, were: “De ayer a hoy nos cambió la vida completamente.”

How did they choose the name Capri Blu?
Chiquibaby said “Capri” recalled a memorable visit to the Italian island. Her husband, Gerardo, chose “Blu,” which she associated with his favorite color. She shared the explanation in a Telemundo report about revealing the name published in July 2021.
What was known about the pregnancy?
Telemundo reported that the couple announced the pregnancy on March 4, 2021, and noted that it followed IVF treatment. This is context from the announcement coverage, not medical guidance or evidence about treatment outcomes.
