No confirmed announcement says Eva Imani is replacing Hank Voight on Chicago P.D. The replacement idea comes from speculation about Imani joining Intelligence, not an established succession plan or confirmation that Voight is leaving. Season 13’s preview instead centers on a unit in disarray after the Season 12 finale.
Is Eva Imani replacing Hank Voight?
There is no verified indication that Imani has been named Voight’s successor. A search-result summary of The Direct’s article connects Arienne Mandi’s character, Eva Imani, to the possibility that the series could be positioning a younger, more savvy alternative to Voight. That is an interpretation, not a reported casting or role announcement. The Direct article summary via IMDb News does not establish a formal replacement.

Those distinctions matter: a new character joining Intelligence can affect the team without taking over Voight’s job, and speculation about thematic resemblance is not evidence of a production decision.
What is happening to Intelligence in Season 13?
Season 13 was previewed as beginning one month after the Season 12 finale. Showrunner Gwen Sigan described the unit’s condition to TVLine: “We find our unit really scattered. They’re disbanded.” The team is dealing with the fallout from Voight’s actions in the finale. TVLine’s Season 13 preview

Sigan also said Chapman was no longer answering Voight’s calls and was not showing up around the unit as she had before. That points to strained relationships and a disrupted team—not proof that Voight is departing or that Imani is taking his place.

Available coverage says Deputy Chief Charlie Reid died and had threatened the team before the unit disbanded. The reported Season 13 setup is therefore about the consequences of the finale and a scattered Intelligence Unit. The available summary of CinemaBlend’s interview context does not support adding further details about Reid or the finale.
