After the finale, Kinney told Good Morning America, “We really wanted to acknowledge the moment. It is a big moment in the ballroom in ‘Dancing with the Stars’ history.” She said they dedicated their dance “to everyone that’s come before us to even allow us to be in this space,” adding that they were proud to celebrate the moment.
How did they place in season 33?
The season 33 finale aired November 26, 2024. Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson won, Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten placed second, and Kinney and Armstrong finished third, according to ABC News’s finale recap.

What did they perform in the finale?
Each of the five finalist pairs performed a judges-assigned redemption dance and a freestyle. Kinney and Armstrong danced a jive to “APT” for the redemption round, then performed a freestyle to “Hellzapoppin” and “Move On Up.”
