MAPPA’s June 2026 15th-anniversary press release also listed the Assassins Arc teaser trailer among the franchise updates. That is evidence the project remained in public promotion at that point; the relevant passage does not give a release date.
When is Chainsaw Man: Assassins Arc coming out?
No release date or release window had been confirmed in GamesRadar’s October 2026 coverage. That report identifies the International Assassins arc as the next likely manga material, but it is secondary reporting, not an official episode-by-episode adaptation confirmation. Treat any specific date or season circulating without a newer official announcement as speculation.

The absence of a date does not tell us why one has not been announced, how far production has progressed, or when the project will arrive. It only means viewers cannot yet plan around a confirmed schedule.
It is not simply an immediate second TV season
The story path runs through a film. It is reasonable to criticize the lack of schedule information and the extra step of following a theatrical film before the next announced arc. Those are concrete features of the release path. It is not yet reasonable to judge the sequel’s storytelling, adaptation choices, or production quality from an announcement and teaser alone.
The most accurate verdict is narrower than the headline: the continuation has been announced, but the public materials cited here leave viewers without a confirmed release window, and the project follows a film rather than being explicitly billed as Season 2. Whether that will prove a major disappointment overall depends on what comes next.
