There is no reliable, independently verified list of 40 luxury cars currently owned by celebrities. The examples below are best read as reported claims and collection leads—not a confirmed inventory or a ranking. The distinction matters: a dated interview can support an attributed ownership report, while a roundup or photograph alone cannot establish that a celebrity still owns a car.
What counts as a celebrity-owned luxury car?
“Luxury” can mean different things: a bespoke interior, exceptional comfort, high performance, rarity, a notable history, or a high price. Those qualities do not establish ownership. To assess a claim, look for a named source and date, an exact model, and clear wording about whether the car is currently owned, was owned in the past, or was merely seen.
The available reporting supports some useful examples, but it does not substantiate 40 current ownership claims. Rather than fill a list with guesses, the entries below separate the strongest attributed example from the broader roundup claims and explain what each source does—and does not—show.
A stronger attributed example: Madhuri Dixit and Dr Shriram Nene
In an April 19, 2025 report about an interview with Dr Shriram Nene, The Indian Express reported that he and Madhuri Dixit own a Porsche 911 Turbo S, a Porsche 911 GT3, a McLaren, and a Ferrari. The report also described a Ferrari 296 GTS as a recent purchase and gave an approximate price of Rs 6 crore at the time. That is a historical reported amount, not a current valuation, and the article reflects the interview rather than independent vehicle-record verification.

Nene explained his interest this way: “I don’t buy them in vanity, I buy it because I like these things.” The models span performance-focused sports cars and high-end marques, but the report does not identify the McLaren or the other Ferrari by model. It therefore supports an attributed account of the couple’s collection, not a fully specified inventory.
Bollywood cars listed in a 2026 roundup
A Financial Express roundup updated April 16, 2026 names cars reported for nine Bollywood celebrities. Its own disclaimer says it did not independently verify current ownership or specific vehicle valuations. Treat these as claims published by that outlet, not confirmed current holdings. The available information supports the names below, but does not establish a complete, model-by-model list here.

Because the roundup disclaims independent checks of both ownership and valuations, its estimated collection totals and car prices should not be presented as established facts. A car attributed to someone in a roundup may be a past purchase, a reported association, or an unverified claim; the date and wording of the original evidence matter.
Why a list of 40 would overstate what is known
A longer list is not automatically a more accurate one. The available material does not establish 40 distinct cars with the model, year, source date, and ownership status needed to describe each responsibly. Adding names or vehicles from memory would turn an evidence-led article into speculation.

Older celebrity-car compilations illustrate the problem. Work & Money, in a roundup updated December 19, 2024, includes Rowan Atkinson’s former McLaren F1. The past-tense wording is important: a notable car once owned by a celebrity is not necessarily part of that person’s current collection. Such secondary lists can point readers toward stories to check, but do not function as live ownership records.

Rarity, provenance, performance, comfort, bespoke specification, and price are different measures. A vintage car may be notable because of its history and rarity; a modern flagship may offer greater comfort or technology. Ranking them by a single price figure is especially unreliable when estimates mix currencies, markets, dates, and valuation methods.

Hagerty’s 2024 Power List is described in its search result as tracking sale prices for cars once owned by famous people and comparing them with standard equivalents. That description concerns the value associated with celebrity provenance; it does not establish the current value of a celebrity’s collection. No figures from that page are used here.

What readers can safely take away
- Use dated, attributed reporting to describe a celebrity-car claim, and state whether it concerns current or former ownership.
- Do not treat a photograph or a vehicle’s appearance in a roundup as proof that someone owns it.
- Keep approximate prices tied to their original date and market; they are not timeless valuations.
- Separate the reason a car is called luxurious—such as comfort, bespoke features, performance, or provenance—from evidence about who owns it.
