The rare photo of Carly with Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s daughters was shared after the couple visited Carly in June 2023. Published by Entertainment Tonight on June 26, 2023, the image showed the family from behind. Lowell described the visit as “amazing” and wrote about how difficult it was to say goodbye.
What was in the 2023 photo?
Entertainment Tonight reported that Lowell posted the family picture after a visit with Carly. In her caption, she called Carly “funny, kind, SMART, goofy and STUNNING” and said it was a blessing to spend time with all four of her daughters and get to know Carly more deeply. She also wrote: “Adoption is hard and saying goodbye time and time again is soooo hard!!!!” Entertainment Tonight’s June 26, 2023 report reproduced the caption and described the image as showing the family from behind.

The outlet said Carly’s adoptive parents had previously expressed a desire to keep her off the reality stars’ social media for privacy. That is Entertainment Tonight’s account of the context, not a direct statement from the adoptive parents in the photo report. Tyler Baltierra commented on the post that being with his daughters felt “truly indescribable.”
Why Carly’s story is connected to 16 and Pregnant
Lowell and Baltierra placed Carly for adoption in 2009 after appearing on 16 and Pregnant. Entertainment Tonight identifies Carly’s adoptive parents as Brandon and Teresa Davis. The 2023 image marked a moment when the couple’s daughters were together with Carly during a visit; it did not establish what their relationship or contact would look like later.

When did Catelynn and Tyler last see Carly?
In a January 2025 report, TV Insider said Lowell described June 2023 as the couple’s last visit with Carly and said she considered the adoption closed. Lowell also told Us Weekly, as quoted by TV Insider: “At the end of the day, I really just want whatever she wants, and whatever that looks like for Carly, that’s all I want.” These are Lowell’s statements about the situation, not evidence of Carly’s own wishes. In May 2026, PopCulture.com reported on Baltierra’s comments about the effect of the situation on their household and his claim that he and Lowell were trying to maintain contact with Carly by email. This later update is separate from the 2023 photo. The public accounts cited here come from Lowell and Baltierra; the reporting does not establish Carly’s perspective or provide an account from her adoptive parents.
