Cat Assassin is an announced stealth-action game about a feline assassin, with parkour and roguelite elements. Dave Bautista’s Dogbone Entertainment is partnering with Titan1Studios on the project, which the companies describe as the starting point for a broader universe spanning games, animation and publishing. No release date or store listing has been announced.
What is Cat Assassin?
Cat Assassin is described as a cat-like parkour stealth-action game set in a dark, twisted city. Its teaser follows Hugh, a feline assassin navigating a world of cartels and powerful figures. Those details come from the project’s promotional announcement; they are not the result of independent gameplay testing. The official teaser announcement calls it “A CAT-LIKE PARKOUR STEALTH ACTION VIDEO GAME STARRING DAVE BAUTISTA.”
Who is making the game?
Titan1Studios announced a partnership with Dogbone Entertainment, Dave Bautista’s production company. The companies identify Steve Lerner as the game’s creative originator; Lerner is credited as a writer on Stray and Twelve Minutes. Titan1Studios’ partnership announcement is displayed on its website with a June 21, 2025 date, while its text carries a Toronto dateline of June 12, 2025.
What features have been announced?
The teaser announcement outlines several planned mechanics and narrative elements. They should be treated as announced features, not confirmation of what the finished game will deliver:
#1 Best Overall
- Embark on your next adventure as a clever feline bursting with character, these adorable cats are fifth edition compatible and can be used in any tabletop roleplaying campaign
- Complete set of 5 ready to paint or play RPG miniatures including Hesta - the Abyssinian Wizard, Molly - the Lykoi Rogue, Pawkus - the Bobtail Barbarian, Brook - the Scottish Fold Cleric, Whisper - the Sphynx Sorceror, and Cleo - the Bengal Ranger
- Fully assembled miniatures complementing any pawsome new campaign setting - they’re ready to join your adventuring party as player characters, companions, or familiars
- Great for roleplaying beginners and experienced adventurers to introduce cunning and adorable characters into their ongoing or new campaign
- Cats and Catacombs Volume 2 and Dungeons and Doggies Volume 1, 2, & 3 also available
- Nine-lives roguelite progression: a progression concept built around the protagonist’s feline lives.
- Adaptive cartel bosses: bosses are described as responding to the player.
- Reactive noir narrative: the story is presented as changing in response to events or choices.
- Hybrid parkour: movement is said to shift between bipedal and quadrupedal forms.
- Multiple combat styles: the announcement promises different approaches to fighting.
The announcement names Assassin’s Creed, Splinter Cell, Stray and Sifu as reference points. These are inspirations cited in promotional material, not comparable Cat Assassin editions or evidence that the game plays like any one of them.
Why is Cat Assassin being presented as a franchise?
The partnership is framed as a multimedia collaboration, not just a game announcement. Titan1Studios mentions an animated series and publishing initiatives alongside video games. In the video introduction reproduced in the official teaser announcement, Bautista says: “This is more than just a video game. We’re building a massive new universe that spans across video games, animated TV series, graphic novels, so much more.”

That statement communicates the project’s ambition, but it does not establish release plans or named partners for every medium. The announcements provide no schedule for an animated series or publishing extensions.
Platforms, release date and availability
The official Cat Assassin project page lists PC, console and handheld as platforms. It does not name specific consoles or storefronts, and says store pages will go live later. The reviewed announcements do not provide a release date, publisher, preorder or confirmed launch schedule.
