Cassie Ventura testified in Manhattan federal court on May 13, 2025, about what she called “freak-offs” during her relationship with Sean Combs. Asked whether she wanted to participate in every encounter, she said no, describing feelings of humiliation and disgust. Her account was testimony; the defense disputed the implication of coercion and argued that the sexual conduct was consensual.
What Ventura testified about
ABC News reported that Ventura described a decade-long relationship that she said became violent and testified that Combs controlled aspects of her personal and professional life. She said she first participated in the alleged “freak-offs” at age 22. According to her testimony as reported by ABC, they could occur nearly weekly, sometimes last two or three days, and Combs directed their staging. These are accounts attributed to Ventura’s testimony, not findings established by this article. ABC News, May 13, 2025
ITV News summarized her testimony as describing an “impossible to count” number of sessions. The outlet also reported that her account involved paid escorts, drugs, and supplies. Those details describe allegations and testimony, not independently established facts. ITV News, May 16, 2025
Why “I felt disgusting” mattered
Prosecutor Emily Johnson asked Ventura whether she wanted to participate in every “freak-off.” ABC News quoted her response: “No,” she answered. “I felt like it was all I was good for. It was disgusting. I felt humiliated. I didn’t have the words for how horrible I really felt.”

The statement conveys how Ventura said she experienced the encounters: as degrading and emotionally painful, rather than something she wanted each time. Her testimony also described sessions that could take substantial time. The phrase is significant as an account of her own feelings; it is not, by itself, a legal determination about consent or a finding by the court.
How Combs’s lawyers framed the disputed conduct
During the trial, ABC News reported that Combs’s lawyers argued the sexual conduct was consensual and that allegations of assault did not prove coercion or trafficking. That was the defense’s position, not a court finding. Ventura’s testimony and the defense’s argument should therefore be distinguished from the verdict and from any legal conclusions about particular conduct.
