La actriz venezolana Carolina Perpetuo contó que se sometió a una mastectomía radical bilateral en 2019. En un testimonio publicado en Instagram y reproducido por medios en 2023, dijo que la decisión estuvo relacionada con una atipia celular en uno de sus senos; en declaraciones posteriores reseñadas en 2025, habló de un diagnóstico de carcinoma in situ. Las fuentes no aclaran cómo se relacionan esas dos expresiones.

En el texto, atribuido a la actriz, describió una atipia celular en uno de sus senos que, según sus palabras, podía convertirse en una amenaza mayor: “Cumplo 4 años de haberme practicado una mastectomía radical bilateral de senos por una atipia celular en uno de los míos que avizoraba convertirse en una amenaza mayor”. People en Español publicó el fragmento; Impacto Venezuela también reportó el testimonio.
La cronología de sus declaraciones
- 2019: Meridiano situó ese año la intervención en su recuento posterior y atribuyó a Perpetuo que decidió operarse después de recibir un diagnóstico de carcinoma in situ.
- Noviembre de 2023: Perpetuo dijo que se cumplían cuatro años de la mastectomía bilateral por una atipia celular, según la publicación reportada por Impacto Venezuela.
- 10 de diciembre de 2023: People en Español reprodujo fragmentos del testimonio y lo enmarcó en el duelo reciente de la actriz por la muerte de su madre.
- 27 de agosto de 2025: Meridiano informó sobre declaraciones atribuidas a Perpetuo en Chacanol Podcast, donde ella habló de carcinoma in situ.
La nota de Meridiano resume esas declaraciones posteriores; no ofrece una explicación que permita establecer si “atipia celular” y “carcinoma in situ” se referían al mismo hallazgo, a etapas distintas o a una reformulación del diagnóstico.

El temor, el duelo y el apoyo cercano
En los pasajes reproducidos por People en Español, Perpetuo aludió al miedo y al duelo reciente por su madre, además del apoyo de personas cercanas. Cerró el mensaje con una reflexión sobre seguir adelante: “Superar, sanar y seguir, eso es la vida hasta que el gran océano de la existencia nos mantenga en el vaivén de su oleaje”.
People en Español la describió como recuperada cuando compartió el testimonio en 2023. Esa descripción corresponde a ese reportaje y no establece cuál es su estado de salud actual.
