Electra began dating basketball player Dennis Rodman in the late 1990s, according to Vanity Fair’s 2023 interview. They married in Las Vegas in November 1998. Their marriage ended in 1999, with the divorce finalized by April that year, the interview says. Us Weekly reported on August 5, 2026, that Electra described the romance as a whirlwind and reflected on the marriage: “I could definitely say marrying Dennis Rodman could have been, like, not the best choice.”

Dave Navarro: marriage from 2003 to 2007
Electra and musician Dave Navarro were together by 2003, when they married. Their relationship was chronicled on MTV’s ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave. The Associated Press reported that their divorce was finalized in February 2007, after more than three years of marriage. The Los Angeles Times carried the AP report.
Rob Patterson: engagement confirmed in 2008
In April 2008, Electra’s publicist confirmed her engagement to musician Rob Patterson to the Associated Press. The AP report places the engagement after Electra’s divorce from Navarro. Simon Cowell: publicly linked in 2012
Electra and television producer Simon Cowell were publicly linked in 2012. Asked by Ryan Seacrest whether Electra was his girlfriend, Cowell replied, “We’re people who date. She’s adorable, isn’t she?” ABC News reported that he laughed at the dating question and said she was not his girlfriend, at least not yet. ABC News reported his comments on December 20, 2012.
A later Us Weekly report from 2014, quoting Electra on their flirtation, described them as having briefly dated in late 2012. That account supports including Cowell in a chronology of reported relationships, while his own public wording at the time stopped short of defining Electra as his girlfriend.

What the documented timeline establishes
These accounts provide evidence for four public connections, but they are not equivalent milestones. Rodman and Navarro were Electra’s husbands; Patterson was her publicly confirmed fiancé; and Cowell was described in later reporting as a brief dating partner.
