Yes, its debut was strong in the United States. Billboard reported that the album opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated October 4, 2025, with 200,000 equivalent album units for the tracking week ending September 25, according to Luminate. The total comprised 110,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units, 88,000 album sales and 2,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units. Is AM I THE DRAMA? worth listening to?
It is most rewarding if Cardi B’s forceful delivery, confrontational humor and command of a headline-ready persona are what you want from the album. The critics’ split on its length is worth taking seriously: the abundance offers more chances for her style to shift, but it also asks listeners to sort the standout tracks from recurring variations on the same combative stance. Treat it as an intentionally theatrical statement with strong moments rather than a tightly edited, uniformly reflective album.
