They are not the whole history of shows that have left the service: a series that reaches a planned finale or completes a limited story is not necessarily canceled. This guide separates reported cancellations from planned endings and avoids treating silence about a renewal as proof.
What counts as a canceled Apple TV+ show?
Here, “canceled” means a reported decision not to continue a series. That differs from a show announced to end after a planned final season, a limited series that completes its story, or a title whose future is simply unclear. Apple’s programming references use broader “ended programming” groupings, so inclusion on such a list is not, on its own, evidence of cancellation. Apple TV+ original programming reference
The entries below are selected examples, not an exhaustive all-time inventory. Status reports can change, and a lack of renewal news does not establish that a show has been canceled.
Reported cancellations
| Series | Reported status | What viewers should know |
|---|---|---|
| Palm Royale | Variety reported in March 2026 that Apple TV+ canceled the series after two seasons. Variety | The comedy-drama follows Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons as she seeks acceptance in 1960s Palm Beach society; it is loosely based on Juliet McDaniel’s novel Mr. and Mrs. American Pie. GamesRadar Variety reported that the first season received 11 Emmy nominations. That is an awards figure, not a measure of viewership or a stated reason for cancellation. |
| Mythic Quest | TVLine reported that the series was canceled after four seasons. TVLine | Co-creator Megan Ganz said the finale received one final update so the team could “say goodbye, instead of just game over.” The remark describes the revised farewell, not Apple’s reason for ending the series. |
Planned endings are not the same as cancellations
Some Apple TV+ series have been described in roundups as ending, separately from shows reported canceled. A confirmed final season or announced planned ending belongs in that category; it should not be relabeled a cancellation simply because no later season is expected. Roundups can differ in cutoff date and terminology, so check the reported status and date for each title rather than relying on a combined “ended” list. Why this is a selected list, not a complete history
Reference lists of Apple TV+ programming cite reporting about additional titles, including The Big Door Prize, Constellation, Sunny, The Last Frontier, The Afterparty, High Desert, Still Up and Time Bandits. But a category for ended programming can include completed runs as well as series Apple chose not to continue. Each title needs a status-specific report before it can responsibly be added to a cancellation list. Apple TV+ original programming reference
There is also no reliable common viewing-hours, subscriber, or cancellation-reason statistic established for these series. Emmy nominations, gaps between seasons, or the absence of renewal news do not establish why Apple made a programming decision.

How to check a show before you start it
- Look for a report that explicitly says the series was canceled, and note the outlet and date.
- If Apple or a report says a season is the final one, treat that as a planned ending unless a cancellation is separately reported.
- For a limited series or completed story, distinguish the format from a decision to stop producing more seasons.
- Check current regional availability separately: a status guide or Apple catalogue listing does not guarantee a title is streamable in every country.
Apple’s official Apple TV+ series and press-release pages are useful for slate announcements, but catalogue inclusion alone does not confirm a show is active, canceled, or available in a particular region.
