Not necessarily. A pending age appeal does not by itself confirm that a YouTube channel can or cannot live stream. YouTube’s published requirements are that the creator be at least 16, the channel be verified, and the channel have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check the affected account and channel in Google Account settings and YouTube Studio; public help pages do not show an individual appeal’s status or decide that channel’s eligibility.
Check these three requirements first
YouTube Help’s live-streaming guidance sets out three checks:
- Creator age: The person who live streams must be at least 16 years old.
- Channel verification: The channel must be verified.
- Recent restrictions: The channel must not have had a live-streaming restriction during the preceding 90 days.
Meeting these published requirements does not let a public policy page confirm an individual channel’s current access. Sign in to the account that owns or manages the channel and check its live-streaming availability in YouTube Studio. Read any related email or account notice for the specific decision and its appeal instructions.
Identify which kind of age issue is pending
“Age appeal” may refer to different processes. The exact wording of the notice or email matters: a Google Account age issue is not the same as an appeal of an age restriction on one video.

Google Account age verification or eligibility
If Google says the account may not meet its age requirements, follow the prompts after signing in to the affected account. Google’s account guidance says users generally have 14 days to verify their age or set up supervision where applicable. The steps and available options depend on the account and country; some Workspace accounts may be treated differently. If an account is disabled, published material such as YouTube videos is hidden until the account is re-enabled.
Check the request status while signed in. Google says verification steps appear after sign-in; do not send age documents or payment information in response to an unsolicited email.

Appeal of an age restriction on a video
A video age restriction is a content decision, not a decision about whether the account holder is old enough to use a Google Account. YouTube’s video age-restriction appeal guidance describes an appeal through YouTube Studio and says the restriction on a video may be appealed once. It does not say that a pending appeal changes the channel’s live-streaming eligibility. Look separately for a channel-level or live-streaming restriction notice.
What an active live-streaming restriction means
YouTube lists Community Guidelines actions, copyright issues, content involving minors, and other policy restrictions among possible reasons for losing live access. Its restriction guidance says YouTube notifies creators by email when a stream or channel is restricted and provides appeal instructions when applicable. Use the instructions in that notice and check the channel’s status for any change.

Do not try to work around an active restriction by streaming from another channel. YouTube considers that circumvention and says it may result in termination. A Community Guidelines strike that restricts live access prevents streaming for 14 days under YouTube’s published guidance, but that duration should not be assumed for other age-related or live restrictions. Follow the specific notice.

The minimum age for managing a Google Account varies by country. YouTube separately requires a live streamer to be at least 16. Google’s age requirements guidance explains the country-specific account rules. Satisfying the minimum age to manage an account does not, by itself, satisfy YouTube’s separate live-streaming age requirement.

Where StreamNeo fits—and where it does not
StreamNeo keeps an uploaded video or playlist running as a 24/7 YouTube live stream from the cloud. It does not resolve an age appeal or grant live-streaming eligibility: first confirm that the account and channel are allowed to stream. If they are, StreamNeo’s steps are to upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key once, and go live. Details are at StreamNeo.
Or let it run in the cloud
Once your channel is eligible, StreamNeo can keep the uploaded video or playlist running without a computer or home connection staying on. Upload it, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month.
