Not by itself, according to Switchboard Live’s current documentation. Switchboard takes an incoming feed from streaming software or an encoder and forwards it to YouTube; it does not describe a built-in playlist or multi-video looping feature. To repeat prerecorded videos, configure the playlist and loop in the encoder or playback source, then send that output through Switchboard.
What Switchboard Live does—and what it does not document
Switchboard’s setup guide describes a path from an encoder into a Switchboard workflow, followed by delivery to selected destinations such as YouTube. Its FAQ says prerecorded videos can be used if the encoder supports streaming them, and that Switchboard does not store prerecorded videos. The available documentation therefore places playback, playlist order, and repeat behavior upstream—in the encoder or playback source—not inside Switchboard.
This is a statement about the documented workflow, not proof that no undocumented or newly added capability exists. Switchboard’s FAQ does not specify a playlist-repeat control or identify particular supported file formats.
How to send a looping playlist through Switchboard to YouTube
- Prepare a playback source or encoder. Switchboard lists OBS, Zoom, vMix, LiveU, Ecamm, and Blackmagic as examples of software or encoders users may have ready. Choose one that supports your prerecorded files and can sequence and repeat them. The cited Switchboard materials do not provide version-specific instructions for setting up a repeating playlist in any of these tools.
- Set up the Switchboard workflow. In the encoder, enter the Stream URL and Stream Key provided for the Switchboard workflow. This sends the encoder’s output to Switchboard.
- Configure the videos upstream. Add the files to the playback source in the order you want, then enable its repeat or loop behavior if available. Switchboard does not store the files, so the playback source must make them available and keep producing the feed.
- Check the incoming feed. Confirm that video appears in Switchboard’s confidence monitor and that the workflow indicates it is receiving.
- Start the YouTube destination. Select the YouTube destination and press Go Live after the incoming feed is confirmed. Switchboard’s YouTube instructions describe this destination-start step.
Encoder settings to check
Switchboard’s initial setup guide gives general recommendations of CBR (constant bitrate), a two-second keyframe rate, and 30 or 60 FPS. Treat these as general Switchboard guidance, not universal requirements for every encoder, workflow, or YouTube format. Check the requirements for your chosen workflow and encoder before going live.

Autostart does not create the playlist loop
Switchboard describes Autostart as starting destinations automatically when streaming software begins broadcasting. That can automate the destination-start step; the feature description does not say it creates a playlist, repeats video files, or restarts an ended broadcast. Configure the repeat behavior in the playback source or encoder.
