Yes. Larix Broadcaster can send an RTMP or RTMPS feed to a YouTube livestream scheduled in advance. Copy the scheduled event’s stream URL and key into Larix, start the feed, then—unless encoder auto-start is enabled—confirm the preview in YouTube Live Control Room and click Go live. Scheduling the event does not start it automatically.
What you need before connecting
- A scheduled livestream in YouTube Studio and its current stream URL and key.
- Larix Broadcaster configured to publish using RTMP or RTMPS.
- A YouTube channel eligible to livestream: YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
Larix Broadcaster for Android lists H.264/AVC video and AAC audio encoding, and RTMP/RTMPS publishing. Compatibility is not a guarantee for every phone, codec selection, network, or event configuration; check the feed preview before the event. Softvelum’s Larix Broadcaster for Android documentation
Connect Larix to the scheduled event
- Open or create the event. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live, then open Manage to schedule a stream or select the scheduled event. YouTube allows you to reuse previous settings or create a new event. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- Copy the event’s stream credentials. Open the scheduled event’s stream settings and copy its stream URL and stream key. The key identifies where YouTube accepts the encoder feed, so keep it private. If it is exposed, reset it in Live Control Room and update Larix. Manage YouTube live-stream settings
- Add a publishing connection in Larix. Enter the stream URL and key for this event. Softvelum describes the connection URL as the server/application URL combined with the stream key; its YouTube example server is
rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2. Use the actual values shown for your event, not a sample key. Larix documentation - Start sending from Larix. Keep YouTube Live Control Room open and wait for it to receive the feed and display a preview.
- Launch the scheduled livestream. If the event uses the documented manual workflow, click Go live in Live Control Room after the preview appears. YouTube also offers encoder auto-start and auto-stop settings, so the final launch behavior depends on the event’s configuration. Manage YouTube live-stream settings
- End the broadcast. End or stop the event using YouTube’s controls, then stop Larix from sending. YouTube says encoder streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. YouTube’s encoder setup guide

Event-specific versus persistent credentials
The scheduled event’s current URL and key must match the event you intend to broadcast. YouTube’s settings may also offer a persistent or custom stream key. Whichever option you use, confirm that the credentials in Larix match the event’s selected settings; a stale, reset, or mistyped key can stop the connection from working.
Manual launch versus encoder auto-start
In the manual workflow, Larix sends the feed first and you launch the event in Live Control Room after checking its preview. With auto-start enabled, the event’s launch behavior differs. Check the setting on the specific event rather than assuming that starting Larix always makes the scheduled page live.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Prepare for the scheduled start
YouTube recommends setting up an encoder stream at least two hours before the event and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before it begins, so you have time to confirm the preview. These are YouTube’s preparation recommendations, not Larix-specific technical requirements. YouTube’s live-streaming tips
For a phone-based broadcast, a tripod or mount can help hold the device steady, but it is optional and not required to connect Larix to YouTube.

Troubleshoot connection and launch problems
- YouTube does not receive the feed: Recheck the event’s current stream URL and key in Larix, including any recently reset key. YouTube recommends copying a new key from Live Control Room and updating the encoder when a third-party encoder will not start. YouTube livestream troubleshooting
- The feed appears, but the scheduled event is not live: The encoder feed and event launch are separate in the manual workflow. Check for a preview in Live Control Room, then click Go live unless auto-start is configured for that event. YouTube’s encoder setup guide
- The event will not launch even though Larix is sending: Confirm the event’s auto-start setting and whether YouTube is waiting for a manual launch. Also verify that the scheduled event—not another event—is open in Live Control Room.
- You cannot start any livestream: Check channel verification and live-streaming eligibility. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, and a live-streaming restriction within the preceding 90 days affects eligibility. YouTube’s live-streaming tips
- The preview is missing or unreliable: Confirm Larix is publishing a usable audio-and-video feed and allow time to inspect the preview before going live. Softvelum’s Grove example specifies video-plus-audio mode for YouTube; it does not establish that every device or configuration behaves identically. Larix documentation
Or let it run in the cloud
For a scheduled live event that uses a phone and Larix, the workflow above gives you direct control over the encoder and launch. For a different use case—keeping uploaded videos looping as a 24/7 YouTube stream—StreamNeo runs the stream from the cloud rather than from a phone or computer at home:
- Upload a recording or build a playlist.
- Add your YouTube stream key once.
- Go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud.
Nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot streams the uploaded quality, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot. StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
