El 30 de octubre de 2024, mientras Ernestina Sodi estaba hospitalizada, Camila Sodi agradeció a quienes habían donado sangre, enviado a otras personas a donar o difundido el llamado de apoyo a su madre. Ernestina murió el 8 de noviembre de ese año; el agradecimiento y la convocatoria pertenecen a un episodio pasado.
¿Qué agradeció Camila Sodi?
En una historia de Instagram reproducida por People en Español el 30 de octubre de 2024, Camila expresó su gratitud a quienes respondieron al pedido de donadores para Ernestina. Incluyó tanto a las personas que acudieron a donar como a quienes coordinaron que alguien más lo hiciera o compartieron el mensaje.
“Gracias a los seres humanos excepcionales que vinieron a donar sangre (o que mandaron a sus seres queridos o pasaron la voz)”.
La nota también atribuyó a Camila estas palabras: “Actos como este salvan vidas. En este caso la vida de mi madre” y “No sé cómo agradecerles tanta humanidad y compasión. Gracias por tanto amor”. Se trata de citas recogidas por una reproducción periodística de la historia, no de una consulta al archivo original de Instagram.

¿Por qué se pidió donar sangre para Ernestina?
En octubre de 2024, Ernestina estaba hospitalizada y, según El Universal, permanecía en terapia intensiva. Camila y Thalía pidieron donadores. La cobertura indicó que se aceptaba cualquier tipo de sangre en el Hospital ABC Santa Fe, entre las 8:00 y las 18:00. Ese lugar y horario describen el llamado difundido entonces; no son una convocatoria vigente ni instrucciones para donar actualmente.

Ernestina Sodi murió el 8 de noviembre de 2024. Univision reportó que Camila confirmó el fallecimiento en Instagram durante la madrugada del 9 de noviembre. Por eso, el mensaje de agradecimiento debe leerse en su contexto: fue una respuesta al apoyo recibido durante la hospitalización, antes de la muerte de Ernestina.
