A new 9-1-1 Season 9 sneak peek focuses on Buck’s emotional aftermath after his kidnapping: he is still haunted by what happened before Eddie rescued him, while trying to hide what he is feeling from the people around him. The preview is tied to “Pick Your Poison,” Season 9, Episode 15, which ABC lists as originally airing March 26, 2026.
What the sneak peek reveals about Buck
Collider’s March 26, 2026, exclusive sneak-peek report describes Buck as still haunted by the events leading up to his rescue and struggling with the consequences of concealing his feelings. That makes the preview’s central tension less about the kidnapping itself than about what Buck is carrying afterward—and the distance that hiding it may create with those closest to him.
The available preview description does not identify a direct statement from a cast member or provide further scene-by-scene details, so it does not establish exactly what Buck tells Eddie or how the people around him respond.
How Buck’s kidnapping leads into the episode
The story follows events in “Mother’s Boy.” ABC’s official listing says Buck and Eddie’s return flight from the National Firefighter Games is canceled, so they set out on a cross-country drive. The trip goes off course, and Buck goes missing. In the following episode, “D.I.Y.,” ABC says Buck tries to manage the trauma of his kidnapping on his own.
