Jung Kook’s “Never Let Go” is a fan song for BTS’s ARMY. BIGHIT MUSIC framed it around the message of “never letting go of each other’s hands,” presenting the June 7, 2024 release as a gesture of gratitude for fans’ love.
What is “Never Let Go” about?
BIGHIT MUSIC described the single as “a heartfelt tribute to Jung Kook’s fans,” with its central message being “to never let go of each other’s hands.” The label said the song expresses gratitude for the “boundless love from ARMY all over the world.” In other words, its stated focus is the connection between Jung Kook and BTS’s fans, rather than a separate narrative or character.
BIGHIT MUSIC’s Weverse announcement supplies that framing. It is the label’s description of the song, distinct from the musical details reported by Yonhap.
When was it released?
BIGHIT MUSIC announced “Never Let Go” for 1 p.m. KST on Friday, June 7, 2024. Apple Music lists it as a one-song single dated June 7, 2024, under ℗ 2024 BIGHIT MUSIC, and notes that it is also available in the iTunes Store. Platform availability can vary by territory.

How was the song described, and what was Jung Kook’s role?
In its June 7, 2024 report, Yonhap described the track as an English-language song based on house rhythms, with simple but catchy synthesizers and refreshing instrumental sounds. The agency also reported that Jung Kook participated in writing and composing it.
Yonhap further reported that Jung Kook wrote on Weverse that he had worked on the song thinking of fans from the beginning. That wording is an English translation of the Korean text quoted in Yonhap’s report, not an English-language verbatim quote from Jung Kook.

How did it fit into BTS’s 2024 FESTA?
Yonhap placed the release within 2024 FESTA, BTS’s annual celebration around the group’s June 13 debut anniversary. The timing connected the fan song’s message of gratitude to the group’s anniversary season, as BTS approached its 11th anniversary in 2024.
