Bryce Sceresini celebrated his 30th birthday at Perth’s State Buildings in May 2023 with 130 guests, an elaborate venue transformation and a three-course dinner, according to PerthNow. The celebration included projection mapping, flowers, candles, live performances and personal touches designed around Sceresini’s life. Its cost was not disclosed.
When and where was the birthday celebration?
PerthNow published its report on May 16, 2023, describing a party held the preceding Saturday at the State Buildings in Perth. The event occupied the grand Postal Hall and surrounding spaces. The report called it “Perth’s social event of the year”—a subjective description of its place in the social calendar, not an award or an independently established ranking. PerthNow’s 2023 account did not specify the exact calendar date of the party.
How was the venue transformed?
The celebration was staged as a personal, sensory experience rather than a conventional dinner in a single room. PerthNow reported projection mapping, Renaissance-style artworks, custom graffiti and personal photographs across the venue. Florist Matthew Landers supplied 45 metres of flowers, and event designer Michelle Mok was associated with 500 candles. These are figures reported by PerthNow, not independently audited counts.
Nine photographers and videographers captured portraits in several photo rooms, according to the report. It also described an oyster bar accompanied by a harpist, opera singers, a champagne tower and sabrage, followed by a DJ set. Bespoke branding was credited to Nestle and Porter.

Chef Kim Brennan prepared a three-course meal that ended with Amalfi lemon and tiramisu. The report also named sweets from Sue Lewis Chocolatier, Generics candles and biscotti from Post among the guest gift-bag contents. Sceresini wrote each guest a personalised note to accompany the bag, PerthNow said. These are details of the 2023 event, not current product recommendations or endorsements.
Who attended, and what did Sceresini say?
PerthNow reported that 130 guests attended, with people travelling from around the world. Among those it named were Tiffany & Co. South Asia Pacific president Libby Amelia, Sydney philanthropist Josh Penn, real estate agent Vivien Yap and Turban Chopsticks founder Mei Sann Yong.
Sceresini said the party was “an opportunity to thank all the people who have played a pivotal role in my life over the last 30 years.” He also described it as “a culinary and sensory journey from various aspects of my life,” according to PerthNow.
How much did the party cost?
The cost was not disclosed. PerthNow reported that insiders described the celebration as “no expense spared,” but that phrase is not a verified budget figure. The article’s reference to six-figure totals concerned large weddings at the State Buildings; it did not say that Sceresini’s birthday cost that amount.
What is known about Sceresini’s later charitable work?
PerthNow described Sceresini in 2023 as an entrepreneur and social justice advocate and identified him then as chief executive of disability care provider Innovative Support Australia. Those are descriptions from that 2023 article, not confirmation of his current job title.
Separate from the birthday, later sources connect Sceresini with Gold Series – Perth fundraising committees. The Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation identifies him as chair of the 2025 Gold Series – Perth committee and says the event supports rare disease care and research. The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation reported that the 2024 Gold Series – Perth raised $1,332,000 and named Sceresini on its committee. Business News also described him as chair of the Perth committee in coverage of a later fundraiser. Those fundraising activities and amounts are unrelated to the birthday party.
