Bruno Mars appeared twice in Spotify’s global most-streamed songs of 2025: Lady Gaga and Mars’ “Die With A Smile” ranked No. 1, and ROSÉ and Mars’ “APT.” ranked No. 3. The result is specific to Spotify’s year-end streaming chart—not a single, all-platform ranking of the world’s most popular songs.

Was “APT.” or “Die With A Smile” the biggest song of 2025?
It depends on which year-end chart you mean. Spotify’s list ranked “Die With A Smile” first and “APT.” third. IFPI’s chart of the biggest-selling global single ranked “APT.” first and “Die With A Smile” fourth. Apple Music’s 2025 global song chart placed “APT.” first and “Die With a Smile” third. Those are different rankings, issued by different organizations and based on different chart measures; “most-streamed,” “biggest-selling” and a service’s top-song chart should not be treated as interchangeable terms.
- Spotify: global most-streamed songs; “Die With A Smile” No. 1, “APT.” No. 3. (Spotify Newsroom.)
- IFPI: biggest-selling global single; “APT.” No. 1, “Die With A Smile” No. 4. (IFPI.)
- Apple Music: global song chart; “APT.” No. 1, “Die With a Smile” No. 3. (Associated Press.)
What the rankings do—and don’t—show
The charts establish that both collaborations ranked among the major global hits of 2025, while their exact placements varied by publisher and measure. Spotify’s stream figure applies to “Die With A Smile” on Spotify; it is not a cross-platform total or a sales figure. The available Spotify announcement gives no equivalent raw stream count for “APT.”
