Bruce Willis appeared in a Thanksgiving family photo shared by his daughters Tallulah and Scout on November 28, 2024. Tallulah captioned the post “Grateful”; contemporary coverage described a “Best Dad Ever” sign beside him. The photograph came about two years after the family announced his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in February 2023, but it was a family moment—not a new medical report.

What the Thanksgiving photo showed

Tallulah and Scout shared photographs of their father on Instagram on U.S. Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, 2024. Tallulah’s caption was “Grateful,” according to ABC News. A report published the next day by PerthNow described Willis seated with his daughters beside a “Best Dad Ever” sign.

The image was shared as a family photograph and a moment of support. It does not establish Willis’s present health or provide a clinical update.

How the photo fits the diagnosis timeline

  • Spring 2022: The family announced that Willis had aphasia.
  • February 2023: The family said his condition had progressed and identified the diagnosis as frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
  • November 28, 2024: Tallulah and Scout shared the Thanksgiving photographs.

The family’s February 16, 2023 statement hosted by the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) said: “While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.” It was signed by Emma, Demi, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn Willis.

What the family said about FTD support

In the same statement, the family encouraged others affected by FTD to seek information and support through AFTD. The organization’s website is theaftd.org. The family’s recommendation is a pointer to condition-specific information; the Thanksgiving photograph itself offers no further medical details.
