Terry Crews remembered a close colleague
Crews wrote that he was “honored to have known you, laughed with you, worked with you and shared 8 glorious years watching your irreplaceable talent.” He also thanked Braugher for his wisdom, advice, kindness and friendship, adding, “This hurts. You left us too soon.”
Chelsea Peretti recalled their on-set friendship
Peretti wrote that she would miss Braugher’s “dulcet tones” and cherish their conversations. She described herself hanging in his doorway to delay his exit and called herself his sidekick in what she termed an “insane opportunity.”

The show’s account called him “Always our Captain”
The official account shared a short tribute: “Always our Captain. We love you, Andre.” The message referred to Braugher’s role as Captain Raymond Holt, the composed precinct leader he played throughout the comedy’s run.
The cast reunited in March 2024
In March 2024, cast members gathered again and shared reunion photos and reflections about Braugher. TVLine reported on a group photo shared by Chelsea Peretti, which included cast members and co-creator Dan Goor. The Independent’s report on the gathering described it as a chance for the group to laugh, cry and reminisce. Its coverage of related reunion posts also named Terry Crews and Melissa Fumero as sharers.
