Wedding DJ Fat Tony says Marc Anthony called Brooklyn Beckham onto the stage, then invited Victoria Beckham up while guests expected Nicola Peltz Beckham to join her husband for a first dance. Tony said Nicola left the room crying and Brooklyn remained onstage. His account describes the sequence as he recalled it; it does not establish what anyone intended.
What Fat Tony said happened at the wedding
In an interview on ITV’s This Morning, reported on January 23, 2026, Fat Tony recounted the moment at Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s 2022 wedding. According to Tony, Marc Anthony was performing and called Brooklyn onto the stage. Tony said guests expected Nicola to come up for a first dance, but Anthony then called Victoria to join them.
Tony said Nicola left the room “crying her eyes out” and Brooklyn was left onstage. Those details are the DJ’s reported recollection of what he saw, not independently verified findings about the couple’s feelings or the full wedding schedule. ITV News’ account of Tony’s interview reports that Anthony instructed Brooklyn to put his hands on his mother’s hips.
Why Tony called the moment “inappropriate”
Tony explained that he meant the timing was inappropriate. ITV reported his clarification that “there was ‘no Spice Girl action.’” In other words, Tony’s description concerned the unexpected context of Victoria being called onto a stage where guests anticipated Nicola, rather than an allegation of a particular provocative dance move.
