Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have reportedly discussed adoption, but neither has publicly confirmed a decision or a formal adoption process. The reports, published February 7–8, 2026, rely on anonymous sources relayed through The Sun; Brooklyn’s reference to his “future family” in a January statement is not confirmation of an adoption plan.

What the adoption reports say—and what they don’t

Vanity Fair reported on February 8, 2026, that a source close to the couple said they had discussed expanding their family through adoption. The outlet relayed a quotation from an unnamed source via The Sun: “This is a subject Nicola and Brooklyn firmly align on. They both want a brood of children, and for at least one to be adopted.” Vanity Fair’s report does not quote either spouse confirming the claim directly.

The Standard, reporting a day earlier, also attributed the account to friends and a source quoted by The Sun. It said the couple had talked extensively about adoption and included an anonymous source’s explanation of their supposed motivation. Those details remain unconfirmed source claims, not statements of the couple’s plans or reasons. The Standard’s report does not establish that they have decided to adopt.

  • Reported: Anonymous sources say the couple has discussed adoption.
  • Not confirmed: Neither spouse is directly quoted confirming a decision.
  • Not documented: The coverage does not establish an application, agency, jurisdiction, timeline, or formal adoption step.

Does Brooklyn’s “future family” comment confirm adoption?

No. Vanity Fair connected the adoption reporting to Brooklyn’s January statement, in which he referred to his “future family.” That phrase does not specify adoption or show that any process is underway. Sky News reproduced Brooklyn’s statement; the adoption interpretation comes from separate anonymous-source reporting.

What Brooklyn said about the family rift

On January 19, 2026, Brooklyn posted a statement on Instagram saying, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.” That is Brooklyn’s stated position, not confirmation of the adoption story.

The Associated Press reported the next day that Brooklyn’s posts alleged his parents had tried to sabotage his marriage and put public branding ahead of family relationships. AP said David and Victoria Beckham had no immediate public response at the time of its report. These are disputed personal allegations, not independently established findings. The Associated Press account describes the claims and the response status at that time.

Is an adoption confirmed?

No direct confirmation appears in the reports described above. They establish only that unnamed sources say adoption has been discussed; the private status of any possible inquiry is unknown. It would be inaccurate to say the couple has decided to adopt, begun the process, or is expecting a child.
